The Man

Castor is a void-pacted black mage, descended from a line of Mhachian mages sometimes referred to as Nightkin. Evidence of his pact manifests in the form of black smoke or clouds emanating from his being (usually above his head or over his shoulder) populated with glowing, orange eyes that can change in number, shape and size. At times he has control of these manifestations but usually he doesn’t.+ Void-Pacted/Possessed (Not by choice)

+ Greatly interested in void-fused individualsThough both Castor and Golem believe that they are separate individuals competing for control, in truth they are constantly integrating with one another and becoming one being. Anyone who manages to get to know them at all will likely notice subtle but progressive changes in personality (for better and for worse). Any wild swings in personality from encounter to encounter is the difference between which entity is in control.

ON A MISSION

Castor sometimes moves around in his hunt for the necromancer Len Valemon, who is responsible for his pact with Golem. He can be very single minded about his goal and his prey is extremely crafty and presents him with many obstacles. Additionally, it often seems that Golem has a personal agenda and is working against Castor's interests. It's possible that either of them may cross paths with people seeking out a necromancer and/or other void related activities.

BLACK WALTZ IN THE BLACK SHROUD

In pursuing the necromancer, Castor has indefinitely taken to prowling the forests of the Shroud, currently having made his abode in the crumbling ruins of Amdapor. While his ultimate goal is revenge, he is currently navigating the challenge of Golem gaining strength and influence over his vessel and she has taken a keen interest in remaining in the Shroud. If you happen to be passing through these realms at night and the light of the moon seems to elude you, or you see an orange twinkling in your peripheral vision, consider it may be more than a trick of the eye…

HUNGRY EYES

Castor is plagued by a perpetual hunger for aether, which is vampiric in nature. He is sometimes overtaken by the urge to seek out aether by various means. Open wounds, blood and broken flesh are proximity triggers to this hunger though he is usually on very good behavior. Golem will disregard all notions of personal space and attempt to have a taste if unchecked. This is also true if she detects beings with rich or dense aetheric signatures. In the case of aether expenditure, usually from fighting, Castor’s hunger is less controlled and can become mindless and beastlike. He is especially dangerous if he is wounded. If you find yourself wounded or particularly aether-rich in his presence, keep a mindful eye out for... overly mindful eyes.

When Golem is in full physical control, a third eye opens on Castor’s forehead. Golem will sometimes hide it with a hat or bandana+Venues+

If Castor is at a venue, he is usually in Golem!mode. If he doesn’t appear to be in Golem!mode it is probably because there’s someone there that he knows. (though he doesn’t know many people currently)

If you have an idea or plotline that you think Castor would be a good fit for, let me know! While he has no romantic or intimate relationships currently, I am not opposed to venturing in this direction with Castor. Though there could be potential for one-off intimate encounters should the scenario/plot/context permit, I prefer that developments like this form organically.
